A Tradition Over a Century Old

The vineyards of Raízes do Pico are part of family land that has been cultivated across several generations. For many years, the ancestors lived exclusively from agriculture, dedicating much of their work to vine cultivation.

This agricultural work was part of the family's daily life and contributed to the local economy of the island.

Terrantez do Pico

The Vineyard Landscape

The vineyards grow on land characteristic of Pico Island, often protected by basalt stone walls that create a favourable microclimate for grape ripening.
